Conexus chooses architect and launches website

Posted on Jun 19 2017

After an extensive architectural team selection process, Conexus is excited to announce the choice of P3Architecture Partnership (P3A) of Regina for the development of a new corporate head office within the University of Regina College Avenue Campus in Wascana Centre.

“P3A has experience with design in Wascana Centre and College Avenue Campus,” says Eric Dillon, Conexus CEO. “They also have a background in heritage architecture that aligns well with our project.”

“We are excited and proud to be chosen as the firm to lead the Conexus project,” says James Youck, Architect and Principal at P3A. “Our expertise with the College Avenue Campus renewal project will link with Conexus’ vision for a landmark building that harmonizes with Wascana Centre and the Campus.”

Conexus is also thrilled that heritage expert, Donald Luxton, will be involved in the design process. Donald Luxton is a well-known preservation consultant, advocate, educator and author and a recognized expert with three decades of experience in heritage resource management throughout Western Canada. His involvement in the Conexus project is key to pairing College Avenue’s significant heritage legacy with Conexus’ vision for an innovative head office and business incubator.

The preliminary work for the project will start immediately with plans to unveil a concept design by the spring of 2018.

Website launch

Conexus recognizes the high public interest in the building given its location within the historic College Avenue Campus and in Wascana Centre. To keep Conexus members and the public up to date about the project, we’ve launched a new website at https://conexusbuildingcommunities.ca. Here you’ll find out the latest news and photos as we progress. The name, Conexus Building Communities, holds significance in that we are helping to build and preserve a community at College Avenue Campus including Darke Hall.  A community of entrepreneurship will also be built through this project with the launch of a business incubator.
