Conexus Building Communities - update

Posted on Mar 6 2018

We have committed, since the beginning of our partnership with the University of Regina College Avenue Campus, to share with you, our community, all of the steps of our journey.

Over the last six months or so you would have learned that:

  • We launched the Building Communities website (this website) – telling and showing you everything we can about our community partnership
  • We issued RFPs for an owner’s representative, architectural team and construction manager
  • We started a working relationship with BTY, P3A and PCL to help us with their expertise in building a new corporate services office at the University of Regina College Avenue Campus.
  • We also brought on Jordan McFarlen as the manager of the business incubator that will be located in the building.

For the past number of months, the experts we’ve contracted have been diligently working on a design of the new building. It is taking us time as we carefully ensure the design works in harmony with Wascana Centre and the rest of the campus.

Within the next few months we’ll be able to take that design to the Provincial Capital Commission for review, tweak whatever is needed and then look forward to final approval. Once that happens we’ll have a public design reveal. We’re excited to show off the design and share our plans. We’re hoping to get everything underway by late spring or early summer.

We are a co-operative with clear values that define how we act which includes being authentic, bold & creative and responsible.

We are proud to support the financial well-being of our members and give back to the community that’s helped us grow.
