About our partnership
In 2016, the University of Regina issued a request for proposals (RFP) looking for a development partner that could help save College Avenue Campus. Sharing similar values as the University, Conexus submitted a proposal and became the chosen partner.
As part of this partnership, Conexus is contributing $8.25 million in direct support to support the university's plans to revitalize the College Avenue Campus together with additional space, mechanical upgrades and amenities to help restore Darke Hall.
By building next to Darke Hall, we’re helping the university save millions and making improvements that will preserve the building as a heritage performance space, while bringing its systems and structures up to today’s standards and codes. This includes:
- the creation of a shared atrium
- improving accessibility
- sharing technology and heating systems

The partners
We’re worked in close consultation with our partners to make sure our project honours the university’s vision for the College Avenue Campus and is at home in beautiful Wascana Centre.
- University of Regina – Conexus is thrilled with the opportunity to work with the university, an organization that shares our commitment to education, social responsibility, diversity and sustainability. The College Avenue Campus renewal project is the university’s number one capital fundraising priority.
- Provincial Capital Commission (formerly Wascana Centre Authority) – The commission leads the conservation and development of Wascana Centre on behalf of its partners: the Government of Saskatchewan, the City of Regina, and the University of Regina. Our project will comply with the authority’s 2016 Master Plan.
More than a building
Our project is about much more than building a much-needed home for our corporate services staff. It will:
